Mortgage and Protection Specialist
Matthew began his professional journey after leaving school in 2009, going on to attend college and university where he graduated in 2014 with a BSc in Sports Studies. Alongside his academic studies, Matthew built a strong foundation in customer service and leadership through his role with JD Wetherspoon, where he spent more than ten years working across various establishments throughout Yorkshire.
During his time there, Matthew progressed into management, ultimately becoming a Duty Manager. Working within fast-paced and customer-focused environments helped him develop excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding service — qualities that continue to benefit his clients today.
Following this, Matthew spent four years working with Warburtons, further strengthening his experience in operations, organisation and customer relations. However, driven by a long-standing passion for helping people and a natural aptitude for numbers and problem-solving, he ultimately decided to pursue a career within financial services.
Dedicated to making this career transition a success, Matthew quickly achieved his CeMAP qualifications and was eager to begin supporting clients with their mortgage and protection needs. He has since become a highly valued member of the team, specialising in mortgage and protection advice and helping clients navigate some of life’s most important financial decisions with confidence and clarity.
Matthew is known for his approachable, friendly and straightforward manner, taking pride in delivering clear and informed advice tailored to each client’s individual circumstances. He is passionate about building strong relationships and ensuring clients feel supported and reassured throughout the entire process, from initial enquiry through to completion.
Outside of work, Matthew became a father for the first time earlier this year and enjoys spending quality time with his partner Jade and their young son Noah. He is also a keen football and rugby league supporter, enjoys attending live music concerts, and loves spending time outdoors with Winnie the family dog.
