Director, Financial Planner and Complex Lending Specialist
Kathryn left school in 1992 before going on to university, where she achieved a BA Honours degree in Business Studies. Following graduation, she began her career in financial services with Santander, working within her local banking branch. This early exposure to retail banking and client service provided a strong foundation in financial products, customer care and regulatory processes.
After a couple of years at Santander, Kathryn Andrassy encouraged Kathryn to join her at Black Horse Financial Services, where she completed her FPC qualifications and began advising clients directly. This marked the start of her journey into regulated financial advice, developing her confidence in providing tailored guidance and building long-term client relationships.
Keen to further progress her advisory career, Kathryn went on to hold several roles across the financial services sector, broadening her experience in mortgage advice, financial planning and client portfolio work. She later specialised as an Independent Mortgage Broker, where she developed a strong understanding of lending criteria, affordability assessments and complex client scenarios.
In 2008, Kathryn joined her family business to help run their commercial property company, which has been established since 1978. This role further strengthened her commercial awareness, particularly around property investment structures, business operations and long-term asset management. Throughout this time, she maintained a strong professional interest in financial services, which ultimately led to her return to the profession alongside Kathryn Andrassy in March 2023.
Kathryn is a diploma-qualified Financial Adviser with extensive experience across all major areas of financial planning. She has a particular specialism in complex lending for investors and business structures, and is known for delivering clear, structured and client-focused advice. She works closely with individuals, families and business owners to help them make informed financial decisions with confidence and clarity.
Passionate about pensions and “simply mad for an ISA,” Kathryn brings energy, enthusiasm and deep technical knowledge to her role. She is highly committed to helping clients achieve long-term financial security, with a strong focus on practical solutions and tailored financial strategies that evolve with their needs.
Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys entertaining, travelling and skiing, and has a strong passion for fitness, health and overall wellbeing
