Kathryn began her career working within the family business after leaving school, combining her lifelong passion for numbers with a natural interest in helping people. In 1998, she joined Lloyds Bank within the Advisory Division of Black Horse Financial Services.
During her time with Lloyds Banking Group, Kathryn was involved throughout the acquisition of Scottish Widows, gaining valuable experience during a significant period of change within the financial services industry.
In January 2001, Kathryn proudly joined Tony Revans at his newly established practice, where she spent the next 24 years advising clients and becoming a highly respected and valued member of the team. Following more than two decades of experience supporting individuals, families and businesses with their financial planning needs, both Kathryn’s decided to fulfil their long-standing ambition of establishing their own firm in 2024.
Kathryn is deeply passionate about education, professional development and maintaining the highest standards within financial services. Her commitment to learning extends far beyond achieving the required Level 4 Diploma qualification. In 2012, she attained Chartered Financial Planner status before progressing further to become a Fellow of the profession — one of the industry’s most respected achievements.
Her dedication to personal and professional development has continued throughout her career. In 2023, Kathryn became an NLP Accredited Coach, further strengthening her ability to support and guide clients through important life and financial decisions. Most recently, in 2024, she completed a Certificate MBA programme through the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also holds accreditation with the Society of Later Life Advisers, demonstrating her specialist knowledge and commitment to supporting clients in later life planning.
Fiercely passionate about the future of financial advice and improving financial education for everyone, Kathryn has also served as a Guest Personal Finance Expert with BBC Yorkshire since December 2018. Many listeners and viewers may recognise her voice from local radio broadcasts or appearances on Politics North, where she regularly provides guidance, insight and practical financial information to audiences across the region.
Kathryn prides herself on building long-term relationships with clients old and new, taking a highly personal and approachable approach to financial planning.
She works closely alongside estate agents, solicitors, tax advisers and accountants to help ensure clients receive well-rounded and carefully considered advice tailored to their individual circumstances and goals. With extensive professional and life experience, Kathryn is passionate about helping clients navigate every stage of their financial journey with confidence and reassurance.
Outside of work, Kathryn loves spending time outdoors with her beloved dogs, enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with cooking, and embraces her proud Yorkshire roots with warmth, humour and authenticity.
