Having initially worked in the family business when she left school and with a lifelong passion for numbers, she joined Lloyds Bank in 1998 in the Advisory Division Black Horse Financial Services, initially qualifying as a Financial Adviser under the old FPC. Kathryn was involved in the acquisition of Scottish Widows by the Lloyds Banking Group at that time. She left after a couple of years to have her daughter Charlotte, followed by her son James. Kathryn was then proud to join Tony Revans at his new practice in January 2001, where she has spent the last 24 happy years advising clients and being a valued member of their team. Now, given her extensive experience in the sector, Kathryn has decided to pursue her dream to set up her own firm.
Kathryn is very passionate about education, not just simply achieving the required minimum level four diploma, but also progressing to Chartered Financial Planner in 2012 and becoming a Fellow of the industry. Her studies didn’t stop there, she became an NLP Accredited Coach in 2023, and her latest achievement is a Certificate MBA from the London School of Economics in 2024. She is also accredited with the Society of Later Life.
Fiercely passionate about Financial Services and the future of Financial Advice for everyone, Kathryn has been a Guest Personal Financial Expert with BBC Yorkshire since December 2018. You may have heard her on the Radio or seen her on Politics North, offering guidance and information to their audiences.
Kathryn loves and enjoys looking after clients old and new and would be delighted to assist you with any enquiries that you have. She also works alongside estate agents, solicitors, tax advisers and accountants, and has an awful lot of life experience. When not at work, she loves being outdoors with her beloved dogs, or experimenting with cooking - a typical Yorkshire Girl!
